Who would have expected the Titans to start this season 0-6? Not Vince Young. Since he has been taking the snaps, the Titans have been unbeaten. They will be put up to the ultimate test against the undefeated Colts this weekend in what has become the game of the week. Most people feel that the Colts winning streak is going to stop here against the Titans. Vince Young has proven himself as the dominant starter for Tennessee and has put up some great numbers as well. Peyton Manning does what he does every week. Gets down in the 4th quarter and comes back to be the hero. But will this be the week that the Colts can’t overcome that 4th quarter deficit to the hot Titans?

Thursday night game pits two teams vying for a playoff berth

Tonight’s game will match-up Marc Sanchez and the New York Jets against Terrell Owens and the Buffalo Bills. With the Jets at 5-6, they look like they have the better chance of the two teams of making it to the playoffs as a wild card but don’t rule out the Bills just yet. If the Bills would happen to win out the rest of the season, they are still going to need some help with making it into the playoff picture in the tough AFC division.

Sanchez is not having the greatest of rookie seasons like Matt Ryan did last year with the Falcons. Sanchez has already thrown 17 INT this season and could be on pace for around 20-25. He does have 10 TD but if they want to make the playoffs, he needs to start making some better decisions as the season is winding down.

For the Bills, T.O. is starting to get some passes thrown his way and this pleases him and the rest of the Bills’ fans. He did not come to this team for publicity, he wants to win football games, and so far this season it has not looked too bright for good ‘ole 81. We will see how things play out tonight and best of luck to both teams.

Two 11-0 teams this far in the season…will this be the season two teams in different divisions go the distance?

With the way that the Colts and the Saints are playing right now, things look pretty good for the NFL to have an AFC and NFC team to finish the regular season 16-0. As you may remember just 2 years ago, the Patriots accomplished this feat and lost in the Super Bowl to the New York Giants. So we know this feat is very accomplishable but for two teams to do it just sounds crazy. Peyton and the Colts have been behind in the 4th quarter this season five times and have come back to win those games. They can’t be doing this the rest of the season. One week that 4th quarter deficit could be too much for the Colts to handle so they are going to have to step up their game as the season nears the end.

The Saints on the other hand have the best chance to finish undefeated since they have one of the easiest schedules to end the season. Drew Brees has been playing so well in the past few weeks and his receivers have been catching everything in sight. When Brees puts the ball where it needs to be, his receivers always seem to come down with everything.

My prediction is that the Saints will get the 16-0 and the Colts will go 14-2. Don’t ask my why they will lose 2 but I just have a feeling that their is a slump coming.

The 2 undefeated teams have a challenge this week..will they stay on top?

Its not very likely to have two undefeated teams this deep into the season. The Colts and Saints have other plans in mind. Since both teams will not play each other this season so there is an opportunity that we could have two teams end the season 16-0.

The Saints battle the Patriots this weekend in what is being called the game of the year. The team that went 16-0 2 seasons ago now tries to break the hopes of another team trying to accomplish the same goal. The Saints have always come up with ways to win no matter what happens during the game. Even if they have more turnovers, they still manage to come out on top. The Pats have been playing some good football lately and Laurence Maroney has been playing well also.

The Texans get the task of giving the Colts their first loss. After a crushing loss to the Titans last week, Houston is looking to ruin the Colts chances of going undefeated. They have the talent to do so, but they have to play against Peyton Manning which is never an easy task. He has been having a great season and it looks like he is going to be the front runner for the MVP at the end of the year.

We will see which undefeated team goes down and how the Texans and Pats can spoil the party.

No Ronnie Brown…no problem as the ‘Phins get back to .500

Ricky Williams knew that he had to step up and have a big game with their wildcat specialist Ronnie Brown sidelined due to injury and did he step into his shoes extremely well. Williams had one of his greatest games this season as the Dolphins beat the Carolina Panthers 24-17 last night. Chad Henne had himself a decent game as well throwing for around 170 yards and a TD toss to Williams. Ricky Williams had all 3 scores last night for the Dolphins and they also added a field goal in the game.

Jake Delhomme did something he hadn’t done in almost a month, throw an interception. It looks like he might be heading back to the way he was at the beginning of the season. He is currently second in the NFL in INT with 14 right behind Jay Cutler with 17. The running game for the Panthers has been superb this season, they just hope Delhomme can get past that interception and help get the Panthers to a .500 record or a possible playoff spot which could be a long shot.

LeBron to play for the Browns? They could use anyone right now…

There have been rumors going around about how LeBron James would like to see how he would do in the NFL with the Cleveland Browns and with the way they are playing now…they could use him. I could picture LBJ as a standout WR or a extremely fast tight end. Either way he would be an amazing player in the NFL. With LeBron heading to the NFL, this could cause major press options and so much other controversy in sports and it would show everyone that he can do anything. He is a natural athlete and would make a big impact in the NFL.

Belichek making a terrible call Monday night and LJ headed to Cincinatti

So its 4th and 2, you have a TD lead with just over two minutes to go and the ball at your own 30. Punt right? Not in Bill Belichek’s head. Anyone with some sense would punt the ball and make Peyton and the Colts go about 70 yards instead of 30. I understand that if you make the first down on that play, the game is pretty much over but still…why take that much of a gamble when you know Manning is going to come up with something spectacular anyway? That’s probably why I am not an NFL coach. This is going to haunt him for a while. I wouldn’t want to be in his shoes at all right now.

Former Chiefs RB Larry Johnson is going to be in orange and black now as he joins Carson Palmer and Chad Ochocinco in Cincinnati. This could be a big pick up for the Bengals and a better opportunity for LJ to make the plays he was used to make in the glory days when he was one of the top rushers in the league. With Cedric Benson out with an injury, look for LJ to get the nod until Benson comes back to play, if he does this season. Good luck in Cincy LJ and Belichek, think before you make another dumb decision.

Manning vs. Brady The Showdown!

Two powerhouse quarterbacks will duke it out this weekend as the Patriots head to the undefeated Colts on Sunday night. This is one of the biggest rivalries of the season thus far because this will test the Colts on how good they actually are this season. Manning has been throwing the ball more than he ever has this season, in fact in the last 4 games, he has thrown more passes than he ever has in a 4 game period in his entire career. Brady has had a successful season thus far and this is the first time he has faced Manning since 2007 because his knee injury kept him out all last season so I am sure he is ready for the challenge.

The running game for both teams has been middle-of-the-road lately and Laurence Maroney has been seeing more time than he has all season because of injury to Samuel Morris and Kevin Faulk. He has been doing fairly well in their place and has been a big pick-up in fantasy leagues around the country. The Colts Addai has had a successful season as well, even when he drops back to throw the ball. Look for the running game to be the deciding factor in this match-up Sunday night.

So much for a Bears victory…

The game tonight was a crucial match up between two teams desperate for a win. Such a low scoring effort but by the help of Jay Cutler’s 5 INT, the 49er’s took care of the Bears 10-6. I thought baseball was over. This game should have had much more scoring than this. The Bears offensive line is not very good at all. I don’t know if the pressure caused the picks or what but they need to step up big now as the Bears look up at the Vikes now 4 games back of them. Let’s see how the Niners do after this win. Will they make a run for the playoffs or is this just a win that really was based on terrible offense on the other side?

Thursday night football match up between two struggling teams, Bears-49ers

Two of the leagues teams that have seen better days square off tonight on Thursday night football so they can get back on track in hopes of a playoff bid this season. Cutler and the Bears started off on the right foot, but the last two weeks the “dominant” Bears D gave up over 40 points in the last 2 games. So much for that strong defense.

The Niners however have been doing alright as well, Frank Gore has been putting up numbers when he isn’t injured, and the QB position has been shaky going back and forth between Alex Smith and Shaun Hill. Smith with get the nod tonight as the Niners hope to get back into the playoff talk.

Only 2 games back of Arizona, this could be a crucial win for the Niners. The Bears also need a win from going down 4 games in the NFC North. A win for either team makes them better in the playoff talk but lets let the players choose their fate.
